Watt Jackson Moorefield

Mr. Watt Jackson Moorefield of Scottsburg, VA died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the Halifax Regional Hospital. Born in Halifax County, VA on April 30, 1924 he was the son of the late Otie Moorefield and Elizabeth Moorefield and was marrie to June Wilborn Moorefield, who survives. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, South Boston, Farmer, Businessman, an avid bird hunter and served on the Halifax County School Board. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Purple Heart.
