William Arthur Scott, Sr.

Mr. William Arthur Scott, Sr. of Clover, VA died Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Woodview Nursing Home. He was born July 4, 1927 in Charlotte County, VA and was 87 years old. He was the son of the late Ballard Bruce Scott and wife Lorna Scott and was married to the late Augusta Wade Scott. Mr. Scott was retired from Burlington Mills and owner and merchant of Scott's Store. Mr. William Arthur Scott, Sr. is survived by: Two Sons William Arthur Scott, Jr and wife Judy of Clover Roscoe "Butch" Scott and wife Jane of Chase City Four Grandchildren, Angie Abdi, Matt Scott, Jimmy Scott and Stephen Scott Five Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by His wife, Augusta Wade Scott Three sisters and three brothers. Graveside services will be held Wednesday July 30, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Clover Cemetery with the Rev. Don Pizzeck officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at his home, 2048 Green Valley Rd., Clover, VA.
