Holt Easley Hankins Mills

Mr. Holt Easley Hankins Mills of Halifax, Virginia died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born in Halifax County, Virginia on January 5, 1950 and was 64 years old. He was the son of the late John B. Mills and the late Bessie Hankins Mills and married to Elizabeth Surber Mills, who survives. He was a member and Deacon of the Dan River Baptist Church and member of the Halifax Volunteer Fire Department since 1984, where he served as a firefighter and E.M.T. He is survived by: His Wife Elizabeth Surber Mills of Halifax One Son Joseph Holt Mills and wife Kelley of Lynchburg, VA Three Grandchildren Caitlin Robinson, Bryson Mills and Josie Mills One Brother Leslie Mills and wife Ruth Ann of Knoxville, TN A number of nieces and nephews Preceded in death by: One son, David Andrew Mills One sister, Barbara Wanner One niece, Laura Mills One Nephew, Joseph Surber A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dan River Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at the Dan River Baptist Church and other times at his home.
