Curtis Thomas Owen

Mr. Curtis Thomas Owen, 91, of Chesapeake, Virginia died Monday, July 14, 2014 at the Chesapeake Regional Hospital. He was born February 8, 1923 in Halifax County, Virginia. He was the son of the late Ernest Thomas Owen and the late Sallie Chandler Owen. Mr. Owen was a WWII Army veteran and member of the Police Association of Virginia and was a retired Norfolk Naval Base Police Officer. He is survived by his wife of 66 years ,Elva Jordan Owen of Chesapeake, VA. His only son, Dwayne Thomas Owen and wife Lyddy Mendoza Owen of Virginia Beach, VA. Two sister-in-laws; Shirley Jordan Gentry and Mattie Brandan Jordan with a number of nieces and nephews and their children. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Clover Cemetery with the Rev. Don Bryant officiating.
