Inez Cheek Hogan Shelton

Mrs. Inez Cheek Hogan Shelton of South Boston, VA died Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Woodview Nursing Home. She was born in Halifax County, VA on February 20, 1924 and was 90 years old. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Cheek and the late Irene Church Cheek. She was first married to the late William Cleveland Hogan and then to the late Dudley Shelton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Millstone. Mrs. Inez Cheek Hogan Shelton is survived by: One Daughter Donna Settles and husband Bill of South Boston One Son Stacy Hogan and wife Deborah of Halifax One Daughter-in-Law Hannah Hogan of New Jersey Two Grandchildren Natalie Brounce Brad Hogan Three Great Grandchildren Neal Brounce, Adrienne Brounce and Aaron Brounce One Sister Marie Snead of Lynchburg One Brother Richard Cheek of Clover Preceded in death by: One son, Fred Hogan Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Rhew officiating. Burial will follow in the Halifax Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, July 14, 2014 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, Stacy & Deborah Hogan, 2103 L. P. Bailey Mem.
