Floyd Watson Hatcher, Sr.

Mr. Floyd Watson Hatcher, Sr. of Scottsburg, Virginia, died Thursday, July 10, 2014 at The Woodview. He was born in Halifax County, Virginia, July 17, 1927 and was 86 years of age. He was the son of the late Robert Lee Hatcher & Maggie Rickmond Hatcher and was also preceded in death by his wife Annie Snead Hatcher. Mr. Hatcher was a member of Fork Baptist Church, a Veteran of the U. S. Army, a member of the American Legion, Post 8 and was retired from Westinghouse/ABB. Mr. Floyd Watson Hatcher, Sr. is survived by: Four Children Rachel Snead & husband Darius of South Boston Floyd W. Hatcher, Jr. & wife Debbie of Scottsburg Donald Hatcher & wife Vadonna of Scottsburg Gerald Hatcher of South Boston 12 Grandchildren 17 Great-Grandchildren ***Preceded in death by His Wife, Annie Hatcher Three Sisters, Alice Mills, Mary Shook, & Ulla Hatcher Two Brothers, Robert Hatcher & Beverley Hatcher A Graveside Service for Mr. Floyd Watson Hatcher, Sr. will be held at Fork Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Rites, Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 A. M. with the Rev. David Rathel officiating. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home Friday, July 11, 2014 from 7-8:30 P.M.
