Betty Lou Wilborn Wazeka

Mrs. Betty Lou Wilborn Wazeka of South Boston died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at her home. She was born in Halifax County, VA on January 31, 1941 and was 72 years old. She was the daughter of the late Herbert Sampson Wilborn and Lillie Belt Wilborn and was married to Robert Carlton Wazeka Sr. She was a member of True Light Baptist Church and was retired from JPS. Survivors include: Her husband Robert Carlton Wazeka Sr. of South Boston One daughter Rhonda W. Greene and husband Brian of Greensboro, NC One son Robert Carlton Wazeka Jr. and wife Allison of South Boston Four grandchildren Adam Greene and wife Hanah of Raleigh, NC Jessica Greene of Radford, VA Robert C. Wazeka III of South Boston Dillon Atkinson Wazeka of South Boston Two great grandchildren Isabella and Bradley Greene of Raleigh, NC Preceded in death by one brother, William C. Wilborn, and six sisters, Martha Lee Newby, Lula Wilbourn, Margaret Bane, Janie Sue Frazier, Barbara Puryear, and Winnie Newby A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Mike Weatherington officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Robert and Allison Wazeka, 1313 Bayonne Ave., South Boston.
