James William "Billy" Dyer

Mr. James William "Billy" Dyer, Jr. of Leesburg, VA and formerly of South Boston, VA died Thursday, June 12, 2014 at his home. He was born in Halifax County on September 18, 1954 and was 59 years old. He was the son of the late James W. Dyer, Sr. and Margaret Jennings Dyer who survives. He was a member of First Baptist Church in South Boston, was Director of Enterprise Consolidation with the US Government, and loved Corvettes, golf, and people. Survivors include: His mother Margaret Jennings Dyer of Halifax, VA One sister Sheila Dyer Younger of Myrtle Beach, SC A Niece Sarah Eakes Culley Two Nephews Todd Wingate Eakes and Brandon John Harris He was preceded in death by one sister, Marcia Dyer Harris A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home Chapel.
