Robert Edward "Frog" Farmer

Mr. Robert Edward " Frog" Farmer of South Boston, VA went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Riverside Health & Rehab Center, Danville, VA. He was born June 6, 1941 in Halifax County and was 72 years old. He was the son of the late Ed Farmer and Mabel Farmer Bowen and married to Alma Lorine Cox Farmer, who survives. Mr. Farmer was a member of Arbor Baptist Church and was a full time farmer. He was also a retired supervisor for Southern Processing. Mr. Robert Edward " Frog" Farmer is survived by: Wife: Alma Lorine Cox Farmer of South Boston, VA Two Daughters: Wanda Cartwright and husband David of Danville, VA Leslie Francisco and husband Danny of Sutherlin, VA One son: Vincent Scott Farmer and wife Barbara of Halifax, VA Four Brothers: Claude Farmer and wife Yvonne of Ringgold, VA Wayne Bowen and wife Paulette of Virgilina, VA Beverly Bowen and wife Jan of Clarksville, VA Larry Bowen of Danville, VA Eleven grandchildren Four great-grandchildren A number of nieces and nephews ***Preceded in death by: One Grandson, Brian Farmer Funeral services for Mr. Farmer will be held at Arbor Baptist Church, Tuesday, May 13, 2014 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Larry Davis and Dr. David Chambers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
