Allen Rudolph Adkins

Mr. Allen Rudolph Adkins of Nathalie, Virginia died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born in Halifax County, Virginia June 21, 1931 and was 82 years of age. He was the son of the late Edgar Irvin Adkins and Willie Margaret Davis Adkins and is survived by his wife Eunice Tuggle Adkins. Mr. Adkins was a member of First Baptist Church of Republican Grove and was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Allen Rudolph Adkins is survived by: His Wife: Eunice T. Powell & husband Lewis of South Boston Three Stepsons: Michael Thomas Hines & wife Kim Of Gladys Charles Phillip Hines & wife Ebie of Nathalie Anthony Lee Hines & companion Tammy Beadles of Nathalie Eleven Grandchildren Five Great Grandchildren One Sister: Gertie A. Throckmorton & husband Leonard of Nathalie Numerous nieces and nephews ***Preceded in death by One Son, Allen R. Adkins, Jr. Funeral Services for Mr. Allen Rudolph Adkins will be held at First Baptist Church of Republican Grove, Friday, May 9, 2014 at 3:00 P. M. with the Rev. Shelton Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home, Thursday from 7-8:30 P.M. and other times at the home, 1013 Cornelia's Lane, Nathalie, Virginia.
