Mrs. Violet Seamster Hazelwood of South Boston, Virginia died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at her home. She was born in Charlotte County, Virginia on June 10, 1932 and was 81 years old. She was the daughter of the late Sig Singfield and the late Carrie Williams Seamster and was married to the late Walter Herbert Hazelwood. She was of the Methodist faith and was a retired seamstress from Tultex. Mrs. Violet Seamster Hazelwood is survived by: Two Daughters Rita Hazelwood Smith of South Boston Debby Hazelwood Parton of South Boston One Son Roger Dale Hazelwood and wife Deborah of Chase City, VA Two Sisters Frances Seamster Clark of Scottsburg Marie Seamster Moody of Clarksville, VA One Brother Albert Seamster of Midlothian, VA Six Grandchildren Eleven Great Grandchildren *** Preceded in death by*** Two Brothers, James "Jimmy" Seamster and Luther Seamster Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Clover Cemetery with the Pastor Wayne Daniels officiating.
