Carrie Bell Duffey

Mrs. Carrie Bell Duffey of South Boston, Virginia died Friday, March 07, 2014 at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born August 9, 1926 and was 87 years of age. She was the daughter of the late James Lacks and Mollie Overby Lacks and was married to the late James Willie Duffey. Mrs. Duffey attended Mount Laurel United Methodist Church and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Carrie Bell Duffey is survived by: Three Children: Carolyn Wilson & Glenn of Clover James Lewis Duffey of South Boston William Ray Duffey & Bonnie of South Boston Eight Grandchildren Sandy Wilson Cabaniss & Derek of Clover Cindy Wilson Collins & Eddie of Crystal Hill Shawnee Wilson Cline & Dan of South Boston Johnny Wilson of Clover Tasha Duffey Barton & Stan of Winston-Salem, NC Misty Duffey Jordan of South Boston Brooke Duffey Pumphrey of South Boston Cody Duffey of South Boston Eleven Great-Grandchildren Two Great-Great-Grandchildren ** Preceded in death by Nine Brothers and one sister Funeral Services for Mrs. Carrie Bell Duffey will be held at Powell Funeral Home Chapel Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 3:00 P. M. with burial at the Mount Laurel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home for one hour prior to the service.
