Shirley Link Buckner

Mrs. Shirley Link Buckner of South Boston, VA passed away on Sunday, March 02, 2014 at The Woodview. She was born in Halifax County on February 26, 1915 and was 99 years old. She was the daughter of the late William Link and Sarah Reaves Link and was married to the late George Malcomb Buckner. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and was a retired from Woodview as a CNA. Survivors include: One daughter Joyce Buckner of South Boston One son Gerald Buckner of Madison, NC Six grandchildren One great grandson A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Greg Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Joyce Buckner, 432 Crescent Drive, South Boston. Those wishing to give memorials should consider a charity of their choice.
