Lois Virginia Anderson

Miss Lois Virginia Anderson of Nathalie, Virginia died Monday, February 24, 2014 at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born November 18, 1937 in Halifax County, Virginia, the daughter of the late James Gettis Anderson and Mary Elizabeth Milton Anderson. Miss Anderson was a member of Catawba Baptist Church where she served on the Deacon Board, the Finance Committee, was Church Historian and prepared the bulletins for worship service. She was also active in Sunday School where she served as a teacher and secretary. She worked as office manager for Dr. Gurnam Bajwa until November, 2013, having worked with him for 35 years. Miss Lois Virginia Anderson is survived by: One Sister, Lorene A. Francis of Nathalie, VA One Niece, Wanda Francis Parker & husband Jason of Nathalie, VA One Nephew, David A. Francis & wife Shelley of Brookneal, VA One Great-Niece, Jasmine Parker of Nathalie, VA Two Great-Nephews, Christopher Parker & wife Anna of Eden, NC Allen Francis of Roanoke, VA One Great-Great Niece, Leah Rose Parker of Eden, NC **In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: A brother-in-law, Mack Francis, Aunts & Uncles: Nannie Milton, George Milton, Dick Milton, John Milton, Janie Ingram, Gracie Cage, Coleman Anderson, Clarence Anderson, Whitt Anderson, Frank Anderson, Lowell Anderson and Elizabeth Anderson. Funeral Services for Miss Lois Virginia Anderson will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 2:00 P. M. at Catawba Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee Roy Davis and the Rev. Jerry Stanfield officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home, Tuesday, from 6:30-8:00 P.M. and other times at the home of Wanda and Jason Parker, 1087 Childrey Church Road, Nathalie, VA.
