Mr. Barry Dwight Thomas, Sr. of Scottsburg, Virginia died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Chase City Health & Rehab Center. He was born in Halifax County, Virginia June 9, 1953 and was 60 years of age. He was the son of the late Sylvanious Nathaniel Thomas & Doris Smoot Thomas and is survived by his wife Linda Henderson Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a member of the South Boston Seventh Day Adventist Church and South Boston American Legion Post 8. and was manager of Savings Gas Station in Centerville. Chandler & husband Randy of Williamsburg, VA Teresa T. Harris & husband Marshall of South Boston, VA Margo T. Stembridge & husband Michael of Clarksville, VA Kathy T. Carter of Chapel Hill, NC Sonda T. M. at Oak Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Ridgeway officiating. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home, Saturday, from 7-8:30 PM.
