Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Weiser Mitchell of Weston, Florida formerly of Halifax County died Saturday, February 1, 2014 in Hollywood, Florida. She was born in Sharon Pennsylvania, November 16, 1936 the daughter of the late Charles Weiser and Alma Hoffman Weiser. She was married to the late James Mitchell. Mrs. Mitchell and her husband were members of Dan River Baptist Church. Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Weiser Mitchell is survived by: Three Children and families: (1)(Daughter), Deatra Myers & husband Chris of Ft. Lauderdale, FL Their children (Son ) Jeremy DeFazio & wife Stephanie of West Palm Beach, FL (Daughter) Shelna Gratzol & husband Otto of Ft. Lauderdale, FL (Son) Clint Myers & wife Maggie of Ft. Lauderdale, FL (2) (Son) Don Hando & wife India of Plantation, FL Their children (Son) Brandon Hando of Plantation, FL, a CPA, graduate of Florida Atlantic University (Daughter) Britni Hando, a nursing student in Ft. Lauderdale, FL (3) (Son) Dean Mitchell & wife Alysia of Lake Wylie, SC Their two daughters Lauren Mitchell, a college student in Charleston, SC Kristen Mitchell of Lake Wiley, SC Great-grandchildren: Haley, Hayden, Logan and Alexis One sister, Martha Wall of San Diego, CA A number of nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by: Two Brothers: Chuck Wiser & Harold (Red) Weiser One Sister: Esther Hart Services for Mrs.Ruth Elizabeth Weiser Mitchell be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Dan River Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Frakes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 A.M. until 12:45 P. M. prior to the service. There will be a catered meal in the fellowship hall of the church following the service.
