Bessie Meadows Dawson

Mrs. Bessie Meadows Dawson of South Boston, Virginia died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Halifax County, Virginia September 6, 1925 and was 88 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Watkins Meadows and the late Eliza Thomas Conner Meadows and was also preceded in death by her husband Edward Binford "E.B." Dawson. Mrs. Dawson was a member of Dan River Baptist Church. Mrs.Bessie Meadows Dawson is survived by: One daughter Charlotte D. Logsdon of Durham, NC Two sisters Janie M. Propst of Baltimore, MD Mildred M. Collie of Manchester, MA One brother Louis Watkins Meadows of Monroe, CT Five grandchildren Sonny Dawson of Las Vegas, NV Vena Boyer of Dover, DE Sara Jane Falcon of Richmond, VA Erin Sulentic of Apex, NC Trevor Logsdon of Durham, NC Three great-grandchildren ***preceded in death by Two sons Louis Dennis Dawson & Edward Alan Dawson One daughter, Janice Carol Dawson One sister, Mary M. Johnson Two brothers, Joe Lee Meadows & H. E. Meadows Funeral Services for Mrs. Bessie Meadows Dawson will be held at Dan River Baptist Church Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 2:00 P. M. with the Rev. Doug Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
