Mrs. Irene Satterfield Owen of South Boston, Virginia died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Halifax County, Virginia December 18, 1932 and was 81 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Bedford Satterfield and the late Mary Long Satterfield Rice. She was married first to the late Robert Edward Lee Hogan and then to the late Johnnie Stover Owen. Mrs. Owen was a member of Berry Hill Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Irene Satterfield Owen is survived by: One Son, Jeffrey Stover Owen and fiance Norma Jean Henderson of Alton ,VA Three Daughters Rosalie Hogan Hill & husband Larry of Nathalie, VA Joyce Hogan Francisco & husband Curtis of Halifax, VA Joannie Owen Green of South Boston, VA Six Grandchildren Eleven Great-Grandchildren Three Sisters Elizabeth McDaniel of Cluster Springs, VA Virginia Lowery of South Boston, VA Shirley Loftis of South Boston ,VA Two Brothers James Satterfield of Halifax, VA Jesse Wayne Satterfield of Danville, VA A Devoted Friend, Kenneth Womack of South Boston, VA Also, a beloved pet Baby Doll ***Preceded in death by Two Brothers Steve Satterfield and Frank Satterfield Funeral Services for Mrs. Irene Satterfield Owen will be held at Berry Hill Presbyterian Church, Friday, January 31, 2014 at 2:00 P. M. with the Rev. Roger Wilborn and the Rev. Jim Kopco officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
