Louise Crenshaw Hughes

Mrs. Louise Crenshaw Hughes Stinson of South Boston, Virginia died Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Woodview. She was born in Halifax County November 7, 1918 and was 95 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Shelton John Crenshaw and Sally Moorefield Crenshaw.. She was married first to the late Robert Leslie Hughes and then to the late Clinton R. Stinson. Mrs. Stinson was a member of Winns Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Louise Crenshaw Hughes Stinson is survived by: Two Daughters: Phyllis Ann Hughes Powell of Alton, VA Joyce H. Covington of Danville, VA Four Sons: Robert Franklin Hughes of Johnsonville, SC Joel Shelton Hughes of Halifax Wayne T. Hughes of Reidsville, NC Donald L. Hughes of Halifax, VA One Sister: Jean C. White of Danville, VA Ten Grandchildren Numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Baker C. Moore and Helen C. Hackney and by two brothers, Johnny Crenshaw and Herman Crenshaw. Funeral Services for Mrs. Louise Crenshaw Hughes Stinson will be held at Winns Creek Baptist Church on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jim Kopco officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 7-8:30 PM and other times at the home of Donald L.
