Clarence Brann Womack

Mr. Clarence "Brann" Womack of 3191 Ridge Road, Vernon Hill, VA, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at his home. He was born in Halifax County on September 25, 1942 and was 71 years old. He was the son of the late Clarence Littleton Womack and Gracie Darling Barksdale Womack and was married to the late Chelsie Osborne Womack. He was retired from ABB. Survivors include: Three daughters Greta W. Alderson and husband Wade of Vernon Hill Pamela W. Mosier and fiancé Sammy Overby of Alton Loretta W. Whitlow and husband James of Vernon Hill Four grandchildren Jessica A. Wilson and husband H.D. of Ringgold Kristin Mosier and fiancé Chris Pridgen of Alton Cody Whitlow of Camp Lejeune, NC Chelsie Whitlow of Vernon Hill One great grandchild Macie Pridgen of Alton One brother Shirley Womack and wife Shelba of South Boston Many Nieces and Nephews He was preceded in death by one sister, Josephine Stevens, one brother Lawson Womack, and a son-in-law, Jeff Mosier. A memorial service will be held at Powell Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 4:00 PM with the Rev. Norman Talley and Rev. Allen Morris officiating. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-4:00 PM and other times at the his home, 3191 Ridge Road, Vernon Hill.
