Vivian Leslie Chandler Anderson

Mrs. Vivian Chandler Anderson of South Boston, Virginia died Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Halifax County, Virginia on June 4, 1926 and was 87 years old. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Walton Leslie, Jr. and the late Inez Canada Leslie. She was first married to the late Joseph Beale Chandler, Jr. and then to William T. Anderson, who survives. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Vivian Chandler Anderson is survived by: Her Husband William T. Anderson of South Boston One Son Joseph Beale "Joe" Chandler, III and wife Martha of South Boston One Granddaughter Sarah Beale Chandler of South Boston Two sisters-in-law Josephine Grimsley of Beaufort, SC Jackie Szeifert of Punta Gorda, FL Two brothers-in-law Wallace Chandler and wife Nita of Richmond Bill Anderson of High Point, NC Two step-sons William T. Anderson, Jr. of Raleigh, NC Raleigh E. Anderson of Garner, NC Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the First Baptist Church at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Dave Anderson and Rev. Susan Davis conducting the service. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, December 27, 2013 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of her son, 606 Forest Drive, South Boston, Va.
