Cecil Gray Granger

Mr. Cecil Gray Granger, 84, of 3077 Bellevue Road, Halifax, died Sunday, November 3 at his home. He was born in Halifax County of March 18, 1929, the son of the late John Cabel Granger and Lena Clark Granger and was married to the late Kathleen Williams Granger. Mr. Granger was a member of Winns Creek Baptist Church and a 61 year member of American Legion Post 8. Survivors include: Nieces Clara Powell Carver of Halifax Judy Granger Lorello of Midlothian Sue Powell Edwards of Williamsburg Nephew Bill Granger of Halifax Beloved friend Anne Jones of Halifax He was preceded in death by a sister, Justine Granger Powell and by three brothers, Waverly, Ernest, and Billy Granger A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Winns Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Kopko officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7-8:30 PM.
