Mrs. Mildred Hall Redd of 2208 Mountain Road, Halifax, Virginia died Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at her home. She was born November 10, 1928 in Halifax County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late John Edward Hall, Sr. and Florence Ingram Hall. She was also preceded in death by her husband Eddie Thomas Redd. Mrs. Redd was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church. Mrs. Mildred Hall Redd is survived by: One Son Tommy Redd of South Boston,VA Two Daughters Emily Hodnett of Halifax, VA Phyllis A. Stuart of Halifax, VA Six Grandchildren Rev. Dale Custer & wife Doris of Midlothian, VA Donna Hodnett of Java, VA Keith Redd & wife Beth of Roxboro, NC Tom Lewis & wife Teresa of Halifax, VA Kimberly Gordon & husband Scott of South Boston, VA Katelyn Redd of South Boston, VA Ten Great-Grandchildren One Sister Joyce Pyle of Halifax, VA In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by One Brother, J. E. Hall, Jr. Two Sisters, Jenny Thaxton and Evelyn Farmer One Great-Grandchild, Rebekah Gordon Funeral Services for Mrs. Mildred Hall Redd will be held Friday, October 25, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Mount Vernon Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Custer and The Rev. Bill Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home, Thursday, from7-8:30 P.M. and other times at her home 2208 Mountain Road, Halifax, Virginia.
