Mr. Ricky Dale Martin, Sr. of Roxboro, NC, formerly of Halifax County, VA died Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Person Memorial Hospital in Roxboro, NC. He was born September 17, 1959 in Halifax County, VA and was 54 years old. He was the son of the late Joseph Martin and the late Mattie Powell Martin and married to Ann Martin, who survives. Mr. Ricky D. Martin, Sr. is survived by: His Wife Ann Martin of Roxboro, NC Two Sons David Michael Martin and wife Christen of South Boston Ricky Dale Martin, Jr. of Gladys, VA Two Daughters Maranda Diane Martin of Roxboro, NC Stephanie Lynn Crews and fiance Harold Duffey of Saxe, VA Special daughter, Leslie Dean Puryear and fiance Richard Carson of Roxboro, NC Six Grandchildren Mya and Maci Martin, Randy and Makayla Martin and B.J. and Layla Two Sisters Joyce Guthrie and husband Jackie of Nathalie Linda King and husband Tommy of Nathalie Three Brothers Willie Martin of Nathalie Jimmy Martin and wife Debra of Nathalie Chris Martin and wife Lilly Mae of Scottsburg Preceded in death by Two sisters, Debra Woolridge and Dorothy Mae Martin One brother, David Martin Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mount Cana United Methodist Church with the Rev. Randy Holmes and the Rev. Matt Whitt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
