Mr. Julian Randolph Harrison, Jr. of South Boston, Virginia died Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Virginia. He was born in Suffolk County, Virginia May 20, 1937 and was 76 years of age. He was the son of the late Julian Randolph Harrison, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Whitmore Harrison and is survived by his wife Mary Dudley Harrison. Mr. Harrison attended First Baptist Church in South Boston, served on the Southside Virginia Community College Board, the VASAP Board, was retired from Halifax County Public Schools after 30 years and was active with the Retired Teachers Association. M. with the Rev. Dave Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home, Friday, from 7-8:30 P.M. and other times at the home, 2110 Rivoli Street, South Boston, Virginia.
