Mrs. Frances Dease Wagstaff of Halifax, Virginia died Saturday September 21, 2013 at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Salisbury , NC on February 10, 1927 and was 86 years old. She was the daughter of the late Linwood Johnson Dease and Maggie Mae Honeysuckle Dease and was married to Robert Wilkie Wagstaff. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include: Her husband Robert Wilkie Wagstaff of Halifax One daughter Brenda W. Smith and husband Curtis of Brookneal Two sons Robert H. "Bobby" Wagstaff and wife Kathy of Halifax Carl Eugene Wagstaff and wife Linda of Halifax One sister Addie D. Hobgood of Oxford, NC Four brothers Johnny Dease of Halifax Pete Dease of Oxford Paul Dease of Halifax Wayne Dease of Halifax Seven grandchildren Rodney Wagstaff of Halifax Kristy W. McKinney and husband Frankie of Halifax Kimberly S. Mason and huband Matt of Brookneal Warren Smith and wife Jody of Lynchburg Tyler D. Smith of Nathalie Cheryl W. Rhodes and husband Brian of South Boston Stephanie W. Brown and husband Ritchie of Vernon Hill Eleven great grandchildren A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Smith and the Rev. Tod McClure officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home 4027 Bethel rd. Halifax Va. 24558.
