Mr. Charlie D. Perkins of Vernon Hill, Virginia died Saturday, September 7, 2013 at VCU in Richmond, Virginia. He was born August 29, 1936 in Halifax County, Virginia and was 77 years of age. Mr. Perkins was the son of the late Isaac Leonidas Perkins and Ethel Perkins Perkins and is survived by his wife Carolyn Womack Perkins. Mr. Perkins was a member of Centerville Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Charlie D. Perkins will be held Friday, September 13, 2013 at 11:00 A. M. at Centerville Baptist Church with the Rev. Todd McClure officiating. Burial will follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens.
