Betty McGregor Womack

Mrs. Betty M. Womack of Halifax, Virginia died Saturday, August 3, 2013 at her home. She was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia on March 27, 1943 and was 70 years old. She was the daughter of the late Allie Wilson McGregor and the late Lelia Baker Tanksley McGregor and was married to the late Clyde Donald Womack, Sr. She was a member of the Winns Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Betty M. Womack is survived by: One Son Robert B. Granger of Halifax Two Grandchildren Hannah Granger of Halifax Allyson Granger of Halifax Two Step-grandchildren Dalton and Lauren Womack of Kentuck, VA One Step-son Clyde Donald Womack, Jr. of Kentuck, VA Two brothers Wallace McGregor and wife Angie of South Boston Harry McGregor of Halifax Two sisters Sandra Bibie and husband Ricky of Danville Eunice King and husband LeRoy of Lynch Station A number of nieces and nephews Preceded in death by: Three sisters, Ruth Lloyd, Violet Pleasant and Lois Owen Special thanks to cousin, Rosann Oakes and special friends, Julie and Edwin Ferrell for all the help, love and kindness and special brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Lois Womack A Graveside service will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery with the Rev. Pat Neilson officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, August 5, 2013 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home and other times at her home, 5104 Mountain Road, Halifax, Virginia.
