Mrs. Martha Richardson Chandler Mrs. Martha Richardson Chandler of Halifax, VA died Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Halifax County, Virginia on August 26, 1941 and was 71 years old. She was the daughter of the late Ellis Gunn "Booster" Richardson and the late Eunice Jones Richardson and married to the late James "Jimmy" Chandler, Jr. She was a member of the Crystal Hill Southern Baptist Church and an employee of Spaulding Equipment Company. She is survived by: One Daughter Susan Chandler of Halifax One Brother Phillip Richardson and wife Denise of Morganton, NC A number of nieces and nephews Special family pet, Lucy Preceded in death by: One sister, Jean Cranford Graveside services will be held Tuesday August 6, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Halifax Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. Russell Lee officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, August 5, 2013 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home.
