Joe Wilson Watts, Jr.

Mr. Joe Wilson Watts, Jr. of 1051 McDonald Road, Scottsburg, VA died June 26, 2013 at his home. He was born in Halifax County, Virginia on August 8, 1935 and was 77 years old. He was the son of the late Joe Wilson Watts, Sr. and Annie Bell Ferrell Watts and was married to Shirley Kathreen Walden Watts who survives. He was a farmer and a member of Scottsburg Baptist Church. Survivors include: His wife Shirley Kathreen Walden Watts of Scottsburg Three daughters Gayle Anderson of Scottsburg Linda Wilkerson and husband Ira of Scottsburg Dianne Burton and husband Shane of Halifax Three sons Michael Watts and wife Jane of Scottsburg Darryl Watts of Scottsburg Sam Watts and wife Stephanie of Alton Eighteen grandchildren Two step grandchildren Six great grandchildren ***He was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Watts and is step-mother, Della Hudson Watts A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Scottsburg Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Stewart and Rev. Brian Smutz conducting the service. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery.
