Carol Jeannette Woods Spurlock

Mrs. Carol Jeannette Woods Spurlock of Lynchburg, Virginia formerly of South Boston, Virginia died Friday, June 7, 2013 at the Avante Nursing Home in Lynchburg, Virginia. She was born July 9, 1936 in Henry County, Virginia and was 76 years old. She was the daughter of the late Rev. John Thomas Woods and the late Ruby Bernice Spencer Woods and married to Douglas Kent Spurlock, Sr. who survives. She was a member of the Zion Baptist Church in Union Grove, NC Mrs. Carol Jeannette Spurlock is survived by: Her Husband Douglas Spurlock, Sr. of Lynchburg One Daughter Tamra L. Spurlock of Suffolk, VA One Granddaughter Madison Grace-Spurlock Crouse of Virginia Beach, VA Special Friends, Tim and Alys Crouse, Ethan and Cooper, Kim Betz, Jackson and Rachel Preceded in death by: One Son, Douglas Kent Spurlock, Jr. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W.D. Mills officiating. Burial will follow on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in the Fairystone Baptist Church Cemetery in Stuart, Virginia with the Rev. Joseph Tomlin conducting the service.
