Mrs. Bettie Evelyn Moorefield Allen of South Boston, Virginia died Monday, April 22, 2013 at Duke Medical Center. She was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia November 14, 1940 and was 72 years of age. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Randolph Moorefield and Lena Saunders Moorefield. She is survived by her husband Louis Stephen (Steve) Allen. Mrs. Allen was a member of Revelation Baptist Church and was retired as a bookkeeper with Westinghouse/ABB. M. at Revelation Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Coghill, The Rev. Daryl Hancock and the Rev. Ken Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at Halifax Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, from 6:30 - 9:00 P. M. at Revelation Baptist Church and other times at her home, 2150 River Road, South Boston, Virginia.
