Mary Cosby Clements

Mrs. Mary Cosby Clements of Vernon Hill, Virginia died Sunday April 7, 2013 at the Woodview Nursing Home. She was born in Halifax County, Virginia on October 15, 1922 and was 90 years old. She was the daughter of the late Dabney Cosby and Hilda Compton Cosby Farmer and was married to James Calvin Clements who preceded her in death last month. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School. She was an avid gardener who loved flowers. For everyone who knew her, she was an angel on earth. Survivors include: One son Jimmy Clements of Halifax One daughter Janet Clements of Richmond One aunt Gladys Thompson of South Boston A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Pat Neilson conducting the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
