Mr. Van Davis Owen of Halifax, Virginia died Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born in Halifax County, Virginia on June 26, 1969 and was 43 years old. He was the son of the late Earl Davis Owen and Margaret Blanks Owen who survives. He was a member of the Revelation Baptist Church. Mr. Van Davis Owen is survived by: His Mother Margaret Blanks Owen of Halifax One Sister Tammy Owen Conner and husband Jeff of Halifax One niece, Mollie Mae Conner of Halifax One nephew, Colton Grey Conner of Halifax Funeral services will be held Monday, April 1, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Todd McClure officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Scottsburg, Virginia. The family will receive friends at the home of Jeff and Tammy Conner, 3029 Bethel Road, Halifax, Virginia.
