Mr. James Calvin Clements of Vernon Hill, Virginia died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born in Halifax County, Virginia on January 28, 1924 and was 89 years old. He was the son of the late Frank T. Clements and the late Martha Frances Bray Clements and married to Mary Elizabeth Cosby Clements who survives. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, World War II Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 8. He was also an avid golfer and sportsman. Mr. James C. March 15, 2013 at Asbury United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Pat Neilson and the Rev. Dr. Melvin Bradshaw. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
