Mrs. Ruby Epps Seamon of South Boston, Virginia died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Woodview Nursing Home. She was born in Halifax County, Virginia on December 28, 1931 and was 81 years old. She was the daughter of the late Moses Epps and the late Mary Ann Thompson Epps and married to the late Jack Seamon, Sr. She was a member of the Black Walnut Baptist Church and South Boston Fire Department Ladies Auxillary. Mrs. Ruby Epps Seamon is survived by: One Son Jackie Seamon, Jr. and wife Teresa of South Boston One Daughter Joyce Seamon Irby and husband Byron of South Boston Four Grandchildren Amber Tingen, Allison Irby, Dex Seamon and Budd Williams Three Great-Grandchildren Sydney Tingen, A.J. Tingen and Adrianna Williams Four Sisters Pearl Crenshaw, Mary McDowell, Hazel Eades and Nannie Sue Beard Preceded in death by: Six brothers; Obie, Robert " Poke", Bernard, Otis, Lacy and Luther Epps Two sisters; Lucy Tuck and Annie Whitlow Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Black Walnut Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Wooten and the Rev Larry Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, March 4, 2013 from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at the home of Jackie and Teresa Seamon, 4025 Old Cluster Springs Road, South Boston, VA.
