Mr. Thomas Walter Stubblefield of South Boston, Virginia died Monday, February 25, 2013 at Meadview Terrace in Clarksville, Virginia. He was born in Butler, Missouri February 15, 1918 and was 95 years of age. He was the son of the late William Thomas Stubblefield and Reva Thomas Stubblefield and was married first to the lateVirginia Cotter Stubblefield, then to Dora West Whitlow Stubblefield, who survives. Mr. Stubblefield was of the Presbyterian Faith. During World War II Tom served in the Pacific aboard the Destroyer USS Dewey and at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD., where he taught Marine Engineering. After the war he was employed by Standard Oil of Indiana and later as an engineer with Westinghouse until his retirement. Whitlow and wife Lisa of Alton, VA Five step-grandchildren One nephew & two nieces ***preceded in death by a brother, Earl Paul Stubblefield A memorial service for Mr. Thomas Walter Stubblefield will be held at a later date.
