Helen Rhodenhizer Whitlow Cliborne Mrs. Helen Rhodenhizer Whitlow Cliborne of South Boston, Virginia died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Duke University Medical Center. She was born in Campbell County, Virginia, June 18, 1924 and was 88 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Walker Brooks Rhodenhizer and Preston Gravitt Rhodenhizer Clark. Mrs. Cliborne was a member of Florence Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Helen Rhodenhizer Whitlow Cliborne is survived by: Four Daughters: Gayle Nelson & husband Jimmy of Virgilina, VA Carolyn West & Ronnie of Roxboro, NC Shelia W. Throckmorton & friend Max Perez of Greensville, SC Kay Comer & friend Ted Moore of Hurdle Mills, NC Six Grandchildren: Phil Long, Wendy Solomon, Terri West, Mitch Throckmorton, Malisa Bowen and Jeffrey Comer Eight Great-Grandchildren One Brother John Rhodenhizer & Vera of Lynchburg, VA Special Friend: Lorene Wade **In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Owen and Henry Rhodenhizer Funeral Services for Mrs. Helen Rhodenhizer will be held at Florence Avenue Baptist Church, Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Allen Boggs & the Rev. David Rhodenhizer officiating. Burial will follow in the Virgilina Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Gayle and Jimmy Nelson, 9556, Hwy 49, Virgilina, VA, Friday from 6-8 P.M. and Saturday at the church for one hour prior to the service.
