Willie Wayne King Sr.

Mr. Willie Wayne King Sr. of 1113 Paradise Road, Alton, VA passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at his home. He was born in Huddleston, VA on January 9, 1948 and was 65 years old. He was the son of the late Claude William King and Grace Lillian Crum King and was married to Joyce M. King who survives. He was a member of the Cluster Springs Ruritan Club and was a volunteer with the American Red Cross. Survivors include: His wife Joyce M. King of Alton Three sons Willie Wayne "Little Wayne" King Jr. and fiancé Debbie of Covington, Louisiana Christopher Scott King and wife Natalie of Parker, TX Brian Lee Coon and fiancé Christi Hudson of South Boston Five grandchildren Jeremy Wayne King of Alton Drew King of Parker, TX Gabriella King of Parker, TX Collette King of Parker, TX Haley King of Parker, TX Two step-sisters Virginia Fox of Gretna Loretta Haskins of Gretna He was preceded in death by his father and mother, his step-mother, Mary Vaughnie King, his brother, James William King, and sister, Rachel Lillian Greenway. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Davis conducting the service. Burial will follow at Halifax Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 7-9:00 PM and other times at his home.
