Steven Edward Russell

Steven Edward Russell, 53, of Colemans Ferry Road, Randolph, VA was born in Halifax County on July 31, 1959, to Samuel Whitfield Russell Sr. and Gloria Culley Russell. Steve was a veteran with an honorable discharge from the US Marine Corp. He was preceded in death by his parentsSamuel Whitfield Russell Sr. and Gloria Culley Russell. He is survived by his brother, Samuel Whitfield Russell, Jr. and his wife Alice Seigla Russell and their children, April Daniel, Beth Lassitter, and Grace Kelehar. Also surviving are two special aunts, Ethel Everhart and Iris Redd, who spent many hours seeing to the needs of Steve prior to his death. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Samuel W. Russell Jr. officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Those wishing to give in Steve's memory can help defray his burial expenses.
