Avis McMillan Pierce

Mrs. Avis McMillan Pierce of 1528 Dogwood Drive, South Boston, VA passed away Sunday morning at the Woodview. She was born in Martinsville, VA on March 17, 1931 and was 81 years old. She was the daughter of the late Benton McMillan and Erie Lacy McMillan and was married to the late Roland Duncan. Survivors include: Five daughters Susan Ashworth and husband Davis of Eden, NC Carolyn Jones and fiancé Charles Glass of Tampa, FL Kathy Shepard and husband Keith of Martinsville JanicePierce and partner Cynthia Holloway of Tampa, FL Connie Beaulieu and fiancé Dwight Ballou of South Boston Fifteen grandchildren Ten great grandchildren One son Gary Duncan and wife Kress of St. Petersburg, FL Her cremated remains will be spread at the place of her birth in the Martinsville community.
