Mr. Howard B. "H.B." Landrum, Sr. of Halifax, Virginia died Saturday, January 05, 2013 at the Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born in Halifax County, Virginia on May 26, 1941 and was 71 years old. He was the son of the late Polly Chaney Landrum and the late Mamie Sue Satterfield Landrum and married to Joan Robertson Landrum, who survives. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Christian Church and a retired farmer. He is survived by: His Wife Joan Robertson Landrum of Halifax One Daughter Cynthia Ann Landrum Davis and husband Forrest of Halifax Two Sons Howard Landrum, Jr. and wife Lisa of Halifax Robert Chaney Landrum and wife Cindy of Pittsylvania County Four Step-Children Lisa Hall Frank and husband Mark of Waynesboro, PA Richard W. Hall and wife Jill of Halifax Heather Lee Francis and husband Tommy of Clover Brian E. Hall of Nathalie Five Grandchildren: Amanda, Liz, Brandon, Kristen and Robert, Jr. Three Step-Grandchildren, Faith, Mary Lee and John Thomas Two Sisters Bernice L. Barley and husband Clyde of Halifax Virginia L. Noblin and husband Wayne of South Boston Three Brothers Charlie David Landrum of Danville, VA Douglas Landrum and wife Violet of Halifax Joe Landrum and wife Carol of Halifax Funeral services will be held at the Pleasant Grove Christian Church, Monday, January 7, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Jonathan Turner and Rev. Dr. Michael Parnell officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and at his home, 10045 Mountain Rd., Halifax, VA., Sunday, January 6, 2013 starting at 5:00 P.M.
