Sarah Beale Roark Conner

Mrs. Sarah Beale Roark Conner of Scottsburg, Virginia died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at the Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Halifax County, Virginia on May 26, 1941 and was 71 years old. She was the daughter of the late William E. Roark, Sr. and the late Glenna Snead Roark. She was a member of the Scottsburg Baptist Church. She is survived by: Two Daughters Gwynn C. Snead and husband Dan of Halifax Jodi Patterson and husband Donald of Prairieville, LA One Son Raymond Keith Conner and wife Tamra of Halifax Three Grandchildren Misty S. Lloyd, Dustin Snead and Ian Patterson Three Step-Grandchildren Sara Beth Gentry, Scarlet Ragsdale and Gabriel Damiano One Step-Great Grandchild, Cruise Powell One Sister Lou Gwynn Edwards of Fairfax Station, VA Preceded in death by: One Brother, William E. Roark, Jr. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Scottsburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Mahan officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Scottsburg, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home of her daughter, Gwynn Snead, 1016 Snead LN, Halifax, VA.
