Mrs. Eunice Satterfield Ridgeway of Halifax, Virginia died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Woodview Nursing Home. She was born in Halifax County, Virginia on February 17, 1933 and was 79 years old. She was the daughter of the late David Satterfield and Mary Forlines Satterfield and married to Roy T. Ridgeway, Jr. who survives. She was a member of the Halifax Baptist Church, American Legion Post 8 Ladies Auxillary. Mrs. Eunice Satterfield Ridgeway is survived by: Her Husband Roy T. Ridgeway, Jr. of Halifax, VA One Son Mark David Ridgeway of Greenville, Ohio One Daughter Mae Beth Ridgeway Smith of Greenville, NC Seven Grandchildren Nathaniel Thomas Ridgeway, Dawn Bowen Betts, Christopher James Bowen, Jamie Lee Ridgeway, Jeremy Ray Ridgeway, Julie Renee Ridgeway & John Thomas Ridgeway, Nine Great-Grandchildren One Sister Mildred S. Seamster of Halifax, VA A number of nieces and nephews ***Preceded in death by: One Son, Larry Thomas Ridgeway One Grandson, Jason David Ridgeway Three Brothers, Buck Satterfield, Ed Satterfield, Kenneth Satterfield Seven Sisters, Louise Reeves, Mamie Landrum, Jake Richardson, Evelyn Hudson, Grace Tanksley, Nita Holland and Frances Foster Funeral services for Mrs. Eunice Satterfield Ridgeway will be held at Halifax Baptist Church, Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 2:00 P. M. with the Rev. Eddie Collins, The Rev. Mark Ridgeway and the Rev. Mike McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in Halifax Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home Friday, from 7-8:30 P.M. and other times at the home, 3166 Ball Park Loop Road, Halifax, Virginia.
