Faye Nichols Long - 91 of Campobello, South Carolina went home on Monday, December 3, 2012. She was the wife of the late Wilbur Wright Long and the daughter of the late Willie Johnson and Rebecca Glidewell Nichols. Born on February 1, 1921 in Clover Virginia, Mrs. Long graduated from Clover High School in 1938. She worked at McGuire Memorial Hospital in Richmond until she married in 1945 and became a homemaker. She and Mr. Long lived in Columbus OH, Waycross GA, Orlando FL, Nashville TN, and Birmingham AL, before retiring to South Boston VA in 1980. She will be remembered for her love of family, her hospitality, grace, and style. She was a member of Clover Baptist Church. Mrs. Long was preceded in death by five sisters: Catherine Walker, Ada Kuhn, Inez Chandler, Esther Tuttle, and Myra Lawrence. She is survived by a brother, Dunnie Nichols and wife Carolyn of South Boston; a son, Terence Long and wife Jane of Nashville, TN; a daughter, Donna Roper and husband Julien of Campobello SC; three grandchildren: Caroline Felix, Jud Roper, and Kyle Long; and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at 11a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Clover Baptist Church. Burial will in Clover Cemetery.
