Julian Ware Martin

Mr. Julian Ware Martin of 2020 North Terry's Bridge Road Halifax, Virginia died Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Halifax Regional Hospital. He was born in Halifax County, Virginia on August 25, 1939 and was 73 years old. He was the son of the late John Clem Martin and Louise Powell Martin and was married to Judy Spencer Martin who survives. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and joined New Hope Methodist Church at an early age. Survivors include: His wife Judy Spencer Martin of Halifax One daughter Debora Martin Womack and husband Lee of South Boston One son Julian Todd Martin of Halifax One granddaughter Victoria "Tori" Brooke of South Boston One grandson Ernest Lee "Tripp" Womack, III of South Boston Three brothers Lewis Martin of Halifax John Martin of Travelers Rest, SC Mervin Martin of South Boston Four sisters Rosetta Griffin of Randolph Lois Parsley of Richmond Janie Crowe of Chase City Geraldine Martin of Lynchburg A number of nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by one brother Raleigh Martin and One sister, Juanita Russell Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Coghill officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
