Dr. James "Jinx" Richard Jennings of South Boston, Virginia died Thursday, September 20, 2012 at his home. He was born in Halifax County, Virginia on February 21, 1948 and was 64 years old. He was the son of the late Richard Thornton Jennings and Alice Elvira Owen Jennings. Prior to his retirement, he was a consultant with The Chinese Human Resources Group in Princeton, NJ. He graduated from The University of South Carolina in 1971 with a degree in Political Science and a minor in History. He attended the University of North Carolina from 1973-1977 and studied Chinese language and literature. In 1980, he received his Masters Degree from Georgetown University. From 1980-1981, he attended the Chengchi University in Taipei, Taiwan, studying ancient Chinese characters. From 1981-1986 he studied at Georgetown University in Washington, DC and received his doctorate based on his dissertation, " "Principals of the Chinese Script: A Study of Structural Design - A Technical Execution Approach - and Theories as to Additional Application." M.
