Tom Owen Hazelwood

Mr. Tom Owen Hazelwood of South Boston, Virginia died Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the home of Billy & Pauline (Polly) Dyer having been a resident of The Woodview for the past seven years. He was born in Halifax County, Virginia December 7, 1919 and was 92 years of age. He was the son of the late John James Thomas Hazelwood and Carrie Ann Owen Hazelwood. Mr. Hazelwood was a member of River Bend Penecostal Holiness Church in Gatewood, NC. He was retired from Dan River Mills where he was a weaver. Powell & Dora Mae Hazelwood Funeral Services for Mr. Tom Owen Hazelwood will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 11:00 A. M. at River Bend Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Hughes Chaney, Rev. Matthew Whitt & the Rev. Grant Dyer followed by burial in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home Wednesday, from 7-8:30 P. M. and other times at the home of Billy & Polly Dyer, 1055 Leigh McKay Trail, South Boston, Virginia.
