Thelma Brooks Tuck

Mrs. Thelma Brooks Tuck of 1066 Green Level Road, Scottsburg, VA died Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Charlotte County on July 1, 1933 and was 78 years old. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Oliver Brooks and Elsie Mae Bradbury Brooks and was married to the late Louie Kye Tuck. She was a member of Scottsburg Baptist Church. Survivors include: Two daughters Nancy Jones and husband Bobby of Vernon Hill Ivy Gordon and husband Ricky of Scottsburg One sister Virginia B. Morgan of Red Oak One brother Charlie Brooks of Red Oak Five grandchildren Laura Gordon Meeks of Halifax Sara Jones Schutten of Vernon Hill James Gordon of Scottsburg Amy Jones Hailey of Vernon Hill Jim Jones of Greensboro, NC A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 3:00 PM at the Scottsburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Alan Mahan conducting the service. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night at Powell Funeral Home from 7-8:30 PM and other times at her home.
