Ruby Conner Newton

Mrs. Ruby Conner Newton of 433 Periwinkle Circle, South Boston, Virginia died Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Halifax County, Virginia July 24, 1920 and was 91 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Fountain Carrington Conner and Leona Foster Conner and was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Johnson Newton, Jr. Mrs. Newton was a member of the First Baptist Church of Republican Grove. Mrs. Ruby Conner Newton is survived by: Two Sons: Lonnie J. Newton, III & wife Allene of Henderson, TN T. Lawson Newton & wife Lisa of Advance, NC Four Grandchildren: Carter (Michele), Morgan & Benjamin Newton & Ashley Wiles A Graveside Service for Mrs. Ruby Conner Newton will be held at the First Baptist Church of Republican Grove Cemetery, Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11:00 A. M. with the Rev. Shelton Miles, III officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the church following the service.
